The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recently reported that half of the 54% of overweight Americans trying to lose pounds by walking, aren’t doing enough. Here are other statistics:
* Only 28% of the people trying to slim down said they worked out for 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, which is the minimum government.
* Three-quarters of those with a college education said they exercised regularly compared to those who didn’t have a high diploma.
* Overweight adults in the Midwest are the most active, while those in the Southern states are less likely to exercise.
