I saw a story on TV this morning that reminded me of a conversation I had with a doctor I had while I was in rehab after my stroke. We were talking about diabetes and the future of our children’s health. The story this morning was that one third of children in the U. S. are overweight and they are at risk for type 2 diabetes. There are so many ways that we can prevent this. We must insist our kids eat healthier, put the tablet down and go outside and play, and more. Between the xbox and tablets, our kids don’t understand how my mom kicked us outside and she knew we were out there all day. She got on us about “coming in and out” and to make up our minds about where we wanted to be. Remember? Kick ’em out!
